thanks for the suggestions, tried your latest list still getting CTD at bunker screen unless I disable Ship Inertia and then it loads bunker and into game no problem. Also tried disabling inertia damage without any success but it still loads with inertia damage enabled. I know I can play without ship inertia but I have been playing this sub game series since Silent Service on the Commodore C64 so I am not letting this beat me. Back to testing mods to see who was upsetting OH2 and Ship inertia and discovered they didnt like No Hydrophones on surface. This is an old mod so I checked what it was changing and it was changing new mods starting from FX Update so enabled after A1 sub crew and before FX Update and enabled all other mods in order and I am now enjoying my first mission with these excellent mods.

I was updating my "soberlist" having same problem (of crashing in the bunker) thanks for the info

Report Back: didn't fix problem any suggestions???????

UPDATE: Found problem to be user error. TDW exe.Patcher I failed to enable mod fully (damage to zone box) . I went ahead anyways and placed No Hydrophones on surface between Ai sub and fX mods, everything is AOK.

I'll take a sinking U-boat in the cold North Atlantic over modding this game any day
