Despite the enormous cost: 750 million to purchase, 3 billion estimated in repairs/ maintenance by 2016, this may still work out. Provided there are no more major screw-ups we will have four D/E subs, two in the Atlantic and two in the Pacific. This will accomplish a couple of things. As captgeo says we can train with USN to hunt D/E subs and this country will continue to have a submarine fleet. Got my fingers crossed.
