I doubt that you can do anything with the game, cut and past just doesn't work. There are other things on the disk that you need.

Best bet is to go to the Amazon.com link on the bottom of this page and try to get the Silent Hunter 4 Gold Edition disk. That is patched to 1.5 and is all you need. If you get serious about this game you no doubt will have to reinstall it a few times if you add mods to it. The cost is low and it's a great game. If you use this link Subsim gets a little cut.
