:hmm: i had a smilar thing happen to me i was running on the surface when i got a contact report of a ship spotted,the sea was calm so i wanted to take him out with the deck gun as it was dark and only jan 1940,i goes to the deck gunto get ready for my first shot and wait for thr range to come down as it was still more than 4000m away,then wham big flash and at first i thought iwas getting fired at until it slammed into the side of a c3 cargo yet only the c3 cargo was showing on the map.a few shots later the c3 was dead as a dodo and the map showed a ship sunk.......whats going on !!!!!!
