Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm all for them getting a pay rise considering what they go through. My Granddad used to be a firefighter and was one of the original (I believe) members of the FBU (though not 100% sure on that, will have to ask him when I see him next) so when the strikes were on I sure as hell wasn't one of the ones complaining about it.
