yes, Murray is one of the rare players on the circuit who can beat Federer regularly, even a few years back when Federer was more dominant.
Murray is a great player, 4th best in the world. His misfortune is that he is playing at the same time as Djokovic, Nadal and Federer. D and N have been sucking all the oxygen out of the room for the past 2 1/2 years and Federer picks up whatever is left.
Federer knows this is probably his last chance to win a career Grand Slam. He will be 31 next month, the same age Sampras was when he retired in 2002. All his contemporaries are retired or far back in the rankings. Age is catching up to him, its only his great skills that still keeps him competitive.
In his match against Djokovic, he was like a Great White, circling, waiting for the kill.
...still, I would only give him 6:5 odds against Murray in the finals, should be a great match.
