Part of my feeling of life back in those years, 80s, and 90s. I do not claim them holy nor am I a fundamentalist fan, but I am a sympathiser, and I find them entertaining time and again. watching nthem brings bad that old feeling of how life was back then for me, when I saw them first. In Berlin, there were two small cinemas in the old (now gone and replaced) Kudamm-Eck where they showed year for year all Bond movies exclusively, in weekly rotation.

First Bond movie I ever saw was For your eyes only.

Best Bond title theme also from that movie, by lovely Sheena Easton. Also the best title entry ever, imo. Best ending title for me was "If there was a man" by The Pretenders, I think, that song still is on my mind, it is beautiful and the theme was present in the movie as well. Best Bond actor? I have no clear favourite, but I liked Brosnan's way of doing the role, it somehow fit well. Casino Royal with Daniel Craig is the closest literature adapatation, of course, and Craig was the best Bond ever if seen by that criterion only. "Golden eye" is one that I also liked more than most others.

The second Craig-Bond was bad, imo. Too over-actioned, it simply became boring. Dr. No I also did not like - too under-actioned.

And Diana Rigg's appearance, and the tragic ending. Good role she had, seeing it the first time really blew a sting to my heart. Not before later Sophie Marceau boarded the franchise had the Bond movies such a complex female major role implemented again.
