I had a watch officer come by and after he left I was able to get out of the sonar shack.
I ended the patrol and updated the game.
Tried the mod and it worked
Used Keymapper to add depth command
Found the " Bible " in the MS Games Menu
I wrote the solutions to my problems to give other noobs some ideas
