Well, I say maybe, maybe not. The rule is - the
whole of the ball must cross the
whole of the line, and that picture is inconclusive. To me it looks to be touching.
The most light is coming from the right side, and the apparent dark patch between the ball and the bar could well be shadow on the ball, see Coles or Parkers shirt for a similar effect on a similar colour.
Regardless, the point is with the limited technology as it stands, as in that image, were it referred to, would be referred right back as referees decision anyway as it is too close to call.
Like I said, arguable. Simple video tech would prevent these arguments.
