My kids look at me like I'm ready to be sent to the old folks home when I tell them we didn't have remotes and had to lay on the floor in front of the tv surfing thru all
SIX channels (if you were lucky and the UHF channels would come in clear) by turning the knob.
Most of the time, our " remote" consisted of the person getting up to go to the batroom/kitchen and asking them to flip it over to channel x to see what was on and having them flip it back when they came back.
