Consider yourself lucky. A realistic Normandy would have several thousand troop and supply ships, but also 400 destroyers to protect them. By that time the channel entrances were fully mined against u-boats. As far as I know only one boat got anywhere near Normandy, and it was sunk. |
5 went and 4 where sunk, one returned with dammage before it reached the chanel
