For a perpendicular track:

Tangent of lead angle = target speed / torpedo speed

or

lead angle = Arctangent (target speed / torpedo speed)

So, for example, firing a 28 knot torp to hit a ship traveling at 10 knots requires a lead angle of 19.6 degrees.

Just remember, this only works for a 90 deg. track.
