I love the macs. They are simply wonderful to work with. As far as games and windows versus mac ... I do not see a lot of people making a living play a past time game so give me the machine that makes the money any day. Windows for the masses is great if you do wish to play a game since it was designed for entertainment not production.
If you do wish production and a still remain with windows you can use products like Windows 8 server, SQL Server 2012, MS Dynamics CRM, and there are plenty of SDK developer tools. None of these would most likely run a game with any efficiency since they are created with stability in mind and games are notorious for causing instability in systems due to game calls directly to hardware. Business software is designed so that doesn't happen creating a more stable environment.
Windows isn't all about games but you will fine the consumer versions are largely game and entertainment driven since they are created with entertaining the masses in mind.
If you have an Iphone look for this game ... I am not sure how far along it is yet
