Stealhead, my problem with FO3 was the constant need to go through maze tunnels to get around, while New Vegas was open space, with more nastier enemies. There was that "artificial barrier" thing there that served only to slow you up, with little to add to the experience. While at least a newbie with sniper rifle has a chance on a deathclaw from far range.
Oh gee, another subway, because, even though i can carry a huge gatling cannon and thousands of rounds of ammo, I cannot jump over a waist high pile of rubble, I gotta take the subway maze.
I feel much the same as you, as NV was much better polished.
On a side note, inc rounds from a AMR in sneak drops most deathclaws one shot. Or not even in sneak if you crouch and hit the head as much as I do. (30 sneak)
And the big ones that take more than one shot, fumble around, allowing you to get multiple shots off before they even realize your position.
Deathclaws in the open are easy, go sniper, and melee (unarmed or armed) and you will own anything in NV.
2 step goodbye+ unmodded AMR and incindiery (sp) rounds= invincible. (disclaimer, proper crit perks needed, especially for the unarmed) Punch and run back, I crit 90% of my shots, and the 2 step goodbye, gives a nice explosion.) Bloody mess is pretty, and super effective.
I don't ctd much either. Windows 7 x64. With no crazy tricks to make run right either. (unlike fo3, where I had to tweak my cpu core usage to make work)
