Actually not really you would have to be just a few feet behind it to really feel any heat now if that where an F-15 and had they kicked on the afterburners then it would have been.
Having worked near aircraft everyday in the Air Force I can say that the heat would not be unbearable not at that distance it would feel like a hot humid day but not be painful

But then I made it a point not to stand behind any running engines when I was on the Flight Line.
