What can I tell . . . ?

AyAy Captain . . . Signing on for duties below deck . . . .

Short introduction.

I started my active live as a merchant navy officer (Shell Tankers), so I do know what it is to be at the other end of the torpedo tube . . . .

My experiences in real live were many, and as it went, I got the following "driving-licences":
- Ships (already mentioned)
- Cars ()
- Airplanes
- Special equipment (no details AVBL)

In the airplanes world, the use of simulators is common and I got interested in them yaers ago and have been working on them professional as pure for fun for years. So, besides simulators for airplanes (I had, just for fun, FS4, now I have, more seriously, FSX), I got intersted in simulators of all sort. I had some submarine simulators too.

Recently I got more time to invest in simulators "just for fun" and bought a nice new computer for them. As it is I have now installed and use some simulators, Among others they are:
- FSX from Micro$oft (Gold edition) of course
- Ship simulator extreme (from VSTEP, which I know well, because . . . I live in Rotterdam, and they are right around the corner . . . .
- Train Simulators (TS12 from Auran, now N3V games, is my most used)
- CitySim SimCity 3000
- Civilization sim CIV III

Having used several submarine simulators in the passed, I started to look for a nice one to my collection . . . .

I remembered Silent Hunter from the passed and start investigating what is available and what suits my needs . . .
I found out, that Silent Hunter 4 the Gold edition would fit in fine.
Than I discovered, that that version could only be bought via Amazon, so I did and I am awaiting delivery (that is why I have time to write this introduction).
Finding this subsim.com, I am (of course) now preparing and "gathering"
That's all folks . . . .
