I'm not afraid of that: that's why I didn't compare it to anything. As a matter of fact, I love Company of Heroes, but I love it for different reasons than I love Jagged Alliance.

Difficulty is not the point either. The point is that they changed it. I compared myself humorously to the Fallout fanboys who screamed even before Fallout 3 was released "IT SUX BECOS THEY GO CHANGE SUMFINK", but I can't help it in this case: I can't think of Jagged Alliance in any other way than the way it was originally done.
Too many games these days have abandoned such turn based style, whereas the original JA2 still resembles to me at its best a good game of chess, where early moves can determine long term success or failure. It has aged well. Therefore I'm sad to see that they are fixing what wasn't broken in the first place.
