I, too, would direct the question back to the GOP. If Team R does not want to discuss social conservatism, Team R's candidates should probably stop talking about social conservatism. As soon as Santorum and Gingrich started using their social stances to show their differences with both Obama and Romney, those differences become part of the national discourse. You'd better be prepared to chow down if you open that can of worms.
