It was night time and benno was listening for contacts while we were submerged . he didnt report anything so i surfaced without scanning with the obs scope first . I was climbing the conning ladder and opened the hatch . When the hatch flung open i saw a bright light and the first thing i thought of was star shell . I flew down the ladder and ordered periscope depth and ran to the attack scope . Nothing there . Strange
. Surfaced and went to the conning tower . Full Moon
