If this is all from my game needing patch by the UI patcher, then i should consider getting a hard copy of the game.

Hi!
What version of OH II do you have? In previous version there were problems with some of the ships hydro sounds but they should have been fixed by now. And remember that when the ships go really slow (5 knots or so) they don't appear in hydro.
