I know what you talking about, but i encounter this on vanilla version only, sometimes ship is even underwater and sometimes floating.
Anyway, i never encounter such a thing in TMO or RFB and i think the problem is not enough Ram memory i had 2Gb And now having 4Gb and issue on MP is gone.
