IN THE CASE of IL2 1946 Modded . there was a bulit in program that you change the priorty of the game using ram space ,, so basically there was no issues of CTDS after this modded exe was installed in the modded IL2 1946 , Perhaps Someone can figure thsi out and do the same for Sh5 .. Every one
The reason that I say this is because LOOK At IL2 1946 its about 3g modded and ist over ten years old .. But a cool creative guy out there found a way to manage windows so it sets a priororty to run IL2 1946 Modded .. Same Can happen here as well

Hi Kimuraijn!
Some notes re IL2 (just because You've pointed these theme)
During this great game development in the course of 10 years there were about
40 official patches (not mods) that improved it first of all. Official means that the authors didn't threw the product away after release but worked in contact with gamers, specialists and etc. to make it perfect. I've patched to v.4.10.1 IL1946 and without any mods (but with couple of additional campaigns+skins) its "weight" is more 11 Gb on my harddisk.
Mods (such as replacing one player-operating unit with another) didn't play the key part in its improvement excceeding cases when the results of modding were merged into official patches. That means every bug was fixed by the programmers (the authors), and there was no much need for modders to 'investigate' game engine personally

.
As for SH5 and its official support - no need to repeat things that were posted on SUBSIM dozens of times

. I think patch 1.2 should be the last one
