They are not designed for that, the objective is to be able to aim with no range help.

Any way, you can reduce its size from 0,8 to 0,7 or 0,6 or 0,2...... at your pleasure.

The square effect is notvisible for me, may be because i am using new textures, it is sure due to the texture fills too much the square wich contains it.

I think so the effect need to be watched in movement to be apreciated, when the shell runs fast you cant see anything of those details.

Anyway, we must to be careful with them for the sceen shots.

Hi Hartman, those .tga files not solve the problem, they are the textures, but you can not to control the size of the effect with them.

You need to hexedit with the TT's program.

Many thanks TT, if you can do that, we will be able to increase splash size to be able to watch the splashes at longer ranges.

If you don see the splash, the shoot is long, if you see the splash the shoot is short.

Long discused many times in the past.
In SH1 we have them, tracer shells well visible along its all travel.

I watch similar effect on tanks turret cannons at TV.

May be it needs a special ammo, not sure if deck guns has that effect, but it was modeled in the game after all.

I do nothing strange, i only increase the ball size, to make it well visible at longer ranges with lower magnifications.

Yes, it is posible ...i think so, they are "tracer bullets" instead tracer shells......

They can be edited in same way, but i dont do it yet...... it is next step together with splashes.

Plus i am making new textures for gun muzzle fireballs and flashes, i am turning them into more yellow colour instead white.

I was working on them but unsucessful ....i was not able to increase effect size of the muzzle fireball :hmm:
