Aye that's what I've been doing
Currently working for the Dark Brotherhood so not yet ready to use heavy armor (that and a mix of a dragon priest helm and the rest of the DB armor looks pretty sweet). But Lydia needs an over haul. I've been upgrading her weapons but not the armor.
