I don't know if this may be an issue with your specific version of SHIV, but fuel economy depends upon the type of sub you're using. For example: right now, I'm in an S-Boat and get the best fuel economy at about 8.5 knots. A Porpoise Class, if I remember correctly, is somewhere around 9.5 knots. The good thing about TMO (and RFB too, I think) is that there is an icon/button you can push that will calculate your maximum range at any given speed
