I don't know if we're talking about the same problem, but, when you input the new name and hull number, you do indeed have to input all of the "repeating" pop-ups even though it seems as if your stuck doing the same thing over again.
If your still having this issue, I will walk you through to make sure that your not missing a step.

Thanks Dog .. yes it is the same problem ! And yes I have been going through the repating pop-ups but there are very few and Iam thinking that after all of the pop-ups are completed . Ill see in y game my personal uboat hull number and name .. alos I wanted to change the color of my lines when iam using the map tools ,
What I have Done as follows
deactivated all mods
pointied the path as what TDW said to do
editied the file using the app .
re-activated the mod with a new campaign start after i deleted all saved games and stated out fresh and still the same problem
what do we do next ?
