Default Crytek engine editors info

If anyone is interested.

I had a lot of fun back in the day using the Farcry1 editor, Farcry 2 editor was no option to create SP maps so it pretty much died out for me, now Crysis 2 editor is available its back to creating worlds. Crytek editors are the best out there imo, easy to learn and can get lost in for days.

There is two of them available. I got a bit confused at why two editors am I using the right one?

The Crytek Sandbox Editor Version 3.3.7 build 2572 is the FREE SDK = Engine, that created Crysis 2. If you want to create your own game for non-commercial use, work with this one.

The Cryengine 3 sandbox editor version 3.3.0 build 1. Sandbox SDK (or Mod SDK) = Editor for Crysis 2 Game. If you want to create maps/worlds that has all buildings, trees, roads and sidewalks etc., use this one.

For me the free SDK engine editor v3.3.7 is buggy or maybe my computer is just not powerful enough As it crashes/locks up whenever I enter a map to test out - there is a very cool forest map the devs added in to check out tho the map locks up for me after a min or so and my pc fans are going crazy.

The sandbox editor 3.3.0 runs smooth, my pc fans aint screaming out for more power, no lockups, all go.
