Thanks for the suggestions guys. I tried the rollback method but it didn't solve the problem, so I reinstalled everything again. Now the sky is fine but the 'won't load at all' problem has returned!
I've got a feeling it's something to do with my careers, since the filemanager.dll is apparently linked to that, so I'm just going to try deleting everything relating to SH3 from my PC and starting all over again from scratch. Luckily I just got killed in my main career, so I'm not really losing anything. Still pretty annoying though!
I'll report back once I've finished.
