Actually I was thinking of the '60s British youth culture, in which the two leading groups called themselves 'mods' and 'rockers'. In the film
A Hard Day's Night Ringo Starr is asked "Are you a mod or a rocker?" Ringo answers "I consider myself more of a 'mocker'."
