So I guess my question is what is the dumbist way you have died, and also what is your limit of WTH IS THIS that you dont accept it as a death and go back to a prior save?

Sounds to me like you have a very slow CPU. Or were running at high TC. The game rarely, if ever, lags for me, but I could imagine it would be unplayable if it did.
