Anybody signing up in SHMF as member has to advance to full membership before being able to see anything as member. Why? Well, the explanation is quite simple as stated in the Silent Hunter Mods Forum: to get rid of spammers. Once registered and logged in, all a new member has to do is read the *******ing sticky thread in the only accessible board. Not that hard to do.
Once read and looking at the rest of that board, one only has to use the brain a bit.... Make an introduction post and wait for a manual approval. The philosophy is simple: Be a SHMF member or don't.
