Now all I need is some explanation as to your instructions.
I have SHIII installed on the new computer, but not updated or modified in any way.
I go to the old computer and copy the entire SHIII folder (mods and all) onto a recordable DVD. I assume it could take a while, but thats OK.
After I do that, and before I transfer the SHIII folder from the DVD that I just recorded, what do you mean by "manaully delete the installation? When you refer to the "backup" I assume you mean the good version of SHIII that I took off the old computer. If SHIII doesnt need the registry files, why does that affect the patch installation? When copying the "backup" version of SHIII, can I just rename the old folder and copy the new one in the Programs folder to avoid getting all the sub-folders mixed up? Thanks for your help!
