That and most of India's population are not big meat eaters, partly out of relegious principles and poverty in some parts, but also because their veggie dishes are a damn sight tastier than most.

I used to live behind an Indian restaurant and had to walk by it everyday! Talk about torture! Their BBQ chicken was the best
. They also had imported their baking ovens for their bread. I don't remember the name, but it is flat bread with garlic butter.
