Leutnant z. S. Robert Buck commanding U-154

Almost didn't make it. I wonder if that is how Bornmann felt before he bought it, just hoping to make it home. Lost 4 men trying to slap off the bees long enough to get under, and they still landed 3 solid hits to the U-154, then another later that nearly blew the conn off. 2 of 3 flak guns destroyed. I'm definitely having a snorkel fitted before we go out again. It seems BdU sees fit to send us to the Caribbean. If the fuel holds out we might have to visit Galveston.
