Heard a bit of Jeremy Vine's BBCR2 show and he had a caller saying, "These are people's homes, where will they go?".
My response is they've had
10 years to find somewhere to go.
I have little sympathy for them, if they want to live in this country (as opposed to live in Ireland where iirc they (some of them) own a lot of land) then they need to follow the rules of the land rather than pick and choose which apply to them (HR?).
I'd had reason to have been in a traveller's camp near Doncaster a few years ago, they are very insular and insulting, and seemingly very well off - but from what means, none had a job?
Occasionally travellers will pitch up near my home town, and send the kids to a local schools as and when they want to, with no regard to the school rules that every other child has to follow. If I tried that, what would happen to me?
