Its over played for sure and abused, in some cases - those who play it are the true racists, the issue of race wont immediately enter your mind if you are really a non-racist. (And you dont need to be White to be racist either, people seem to forget that)
Another reason I hate race card abusers, they damage the credibility of REAL victims of racism.
Anyway I dont really know much about this Hank Jr, but who he is is'nt really important - its ridiculous he lost his job over one stupid vague comment. The punishment doesnt fit the crime. A slap on the wrist would have been more than sufficient.
I heard what he said and my god -if people find that offensive, they should try watching an episode of Southpark, it will have them throthing at the mouth!
