After the attack there was an escort close by pinging so I let my boat slip down to 150 metres before increasing speed to maintain depth. I managed to evade and surface sometime later to resume my attack on the convoy, but luckily didn't have to dive again to avoid the escorts. I got back to Kiel and discovered my hull integrity had dropped to 76%.
