It would be a little cleaner, though it might suffer from regular locking as the DRM is an easy troll-topic.
With the way the DRM is now I think it's a shame to not get SH5 just because the activation is still present (I'm sure that's not the only reason, but still..). There's so much good work being done on the mods, especially with the new Privateer/TDW team working on the real guts of the sim, it's a different beast already and will only get better.
