@Hunter Thx Hunter for the RO2 info. Aye you cannot compare BF 3 and ArmA 2 but actually you can but BF3 would be put at disadvantages.

I completely ignore the main plot, it is very repetitive. I just stroll around and enjoy what is being laid out before my eyes.

And the music - another long-known companion now!

To me it is more a Second Life clone, so to speak. Playing imported 40s radio programs when being on the bridge and doing a long ride in SH3 is what comes closest to the way Oblivion makes me feel. The feeling of melancholy and isolation I happened to experience surprisingly intense in SH3, for a game.
For me whenever I tried playing Oblivion I feel alone pretty quick.
If the game is about a vast open ended world I'd like to be immersed in it. But the immersion never came because though the world is beautiful it feels lacking soul. The AI was never convincing to portray personality. The bandits never spoke anything. Everything and everybody in the route seemed to be wanting to kill me and the battle in first person feels very awkward (come on body motion is so dynamic I have to see my feet sometimes, or my chest or my thigh, etc) .

I'm a whiner am I LOL
