I love Commander, so far. It's infinitely more useful option-wise than the in-game menus.

I always just assumed that:
Slow Ahead = silent running / drydock taxiing
1/3 = harbor speed
1/2 or standard = normal sailing

I never figured you'd use 1/3 for regular "commuting". I'll have to try that.
