BATTLESHIP SUFFERS TRAGIC ACCIDENT IN OPERATIONS
The Battleship Mutsu suffered a tragic explosion in her forward battery today whilst on patrol and sunk with heavy loss of life. This marks the first casualty by the Imperial Japanese Navy although it is stressed that this was not due to enemy action but through a lack of safety awareness on board the ammunition storage lockers. Battleship captains have been urged to go on a three day Health and Safety Awareness course held by the Emperor entitled "High Explosives and You." with practical demonstrations being provided by random Chinese civilians.
