In the SH3 Manual it states - "Send Contact Report : Sending contact reports will give precise enermy locations to BdU, this can result in Luftwaffe or Kriegsmarine attacks.
I have found that this translates to - IF a Friendly ship is in the SAME grid as you and you spot a convoy/TF and radio in a Contact Report - said ship will head on over to assist you. If you are with in Friendly Air Coverage - Expect the Luftwaffe to show up AFTER the party's over (well not always some times they get their on time, if you wait for them)
Does it work ? - YES!
PS: ummm btw Destroyers aint Battleships, there just Destroyers. You could have called them Warships at a pinch but that term is rather undiscriptive and is basicly a laymans term.
