Absolutely!
Actually, the Lite version has significantly fewer drug references, although that was more to save space than anything. You lose a few of the textures and the subtitled intro movie, but it's only five megabytes or so in size.
If you want to manually remove the loading screens, they are in data\Menu\Loading. Alternatively, replace them with your own!
