I don't use the hi-res fixes, any of them, so I don't know why it's coming out different. That's totally foreign to me.

I have a program I purchased for that kind of thing, but any paint or photo program should have a converter that will do the job.

Check to see if your computer has Microsoft Works. One of the programs inside should be PictureIt! If you open the pictures with that program you can then just go to File and select 'Save As'. There is a drop-down menu at the bottom that will let you change the format. Bitmap is one of the choices.
