Yeah I disagree with some of that.Though they do have some interesting shows on Military channel sometimes I find that they make many mistakes about nomenclature all the time.I do not consider them to be a reliable source of information.

For example they do not mention that Mr.Haya used the Finnish version of the Mosin-Nagant M1890/31 and that he preferred Iron sights because he felt that the scope would be seen by a counter sniper.I believe many of his kills where at mid range as well which would explain his concern about the scope without a scope he looks like a regualr rifle man and will not attract those looking for a sniper. He got half of his jaw blown off by a soviet exploding bullet.

Even if the numbers might have been fluffed(which I am sure all sides did to some extent) Lyudmila is easily the deadliest woman on earth. I think that she was given a match grade rifle by Winchester during a visit to the US during the war.I am sure she never used it though.

Another thing "best sniper" can be more than one thing, highest confirmed kills, longest range kill,if a sniper single handily contributed to one engagement that would make them very good in my book.

If you want read about an interesting long range kill look up Staff SGT. James Gilliland.
