The visionary CEO of
Apple, Inc. who catapulted an also-ran computer company into
America's second most valuable concern over the last two decades, resigned his post Wednesday.
Jobs, who has been long beset with health problems, will likely be replaced by
Tim Cook, the company's chief operating officer,
Bloomberg News reported.
The company's board of directors is yet to confirm Cook as Jobs' replacement, but the ex-CEO recommended that Cook take the reigns following his departure, Bloomberg reported.
