Patrol 12 is done and we are docked in Lorient. I hate that port. It is to cramped and way to many ships for its size. Patrols 10 and 11 were long and without much success patrolling in the dead zone that is called the Azores. Only got 3 ships in the 2 patrols. Patrol 12 was eventful. 5 ships for 18,000 tons. I was down to one torpedo when i met the fattest convoy of my career. It had 2 passenger liners and 4 tankers along with 6 C-2's. I fired my last torpedo at 6000m at a passenger liner, but a T-3 tanker was hit instead. It slowed down but didnt stop. The escorts were unable to locate me but I also didnt get a sinking. I am at 169,900 tons ahead of Prien at 169,000. Ohhhh, I tried to see Gibraltor but that place is swarming with destroyers. 2 hunter/killer groups were in the straits. I will attempt to get photos later.
