10X trick works fine in any version, almost in periscope, UZO, deckgun, and AAA artillery.
I am using it in 1.4b now with no problem.
Precision Periscope Mod was done with instructions to adapt it manually to any game version.
Just verify you had edited both Comand_en.cfg and Comand_de.cfg

I do not know hw to adapt it to camera view.
And Ii think so it must not have any uncompatibility with any mod.
About pin-ups, you have 3 posibility, no pin-ups, old fashion pin-ups, and new fashion pin-ups.
