Looks like I spoke too soon. My next patrol I've had nothing but trouble. Not from those pesky DD's but like everyone knows the planes have much better accuracy. Got 2 DC's dropped on me, 28% integrity, flooding in both forward compartments. I had everyone and their pet hampster on repair duty. I managed to get it under control and only went down a few meters below periscope depth. And that attack destroyed my deck gun and killed the 4 men i had on watch!!.. torps from here on out.
The bad thing is that i still have 75% of my torps left so this is becoming one intense patrol, not to mention that it's the worst possible weather now. can get the merchants on hydro but visual.. forget it.
Back I go to try and finish this patrol and hopefully come back in one piece.
