I've been saying for years that California is no longer part of the United States. Illegal immigration has gone unchecked and without reprocussions for those that hire them, for YEARS. Decades even. The result is, today, for all intents and purposes, it is a province of Mexico.
Actually AVG, they can vote, just not in the way you think. Let me explain how this works.
In the beginning you have the initial illegals. They come here, and have their a kid. And then, another, and another and another. Hispanic families are alot like Mormon familiies - HUGE. They retain their cultural and national identity, teaching their kids how to speak Spanish. The kids learn English either by proxy, or they go to ESL. Every school in california has an ESL program. What is ESL? English as a Second Language.
These kids grow up, without much interrgration with America, because of their parents who are Mexican nationals, keep strong ties to Mexico, and instill those values in their kids.
The result is this:

These are student's mind you! Tommorrows voters in California

Lastly, this scene, is not uncommon in California:
California is a case study, an example of what to avoid, of what will eventually happen to other states if they don't clamp down on illegal immigration. They' breed, mulitply, and acquire a voting contingent of anchor babies that has enough political clout that politicians can't ignore if they want to keep office. This is how this works, and how Pro illegal laws come to pass. We really, Really, REALLY, need to change the laws that allow this to happen. But that'll never happen. Nevada and Texas are probably next on the
"reconquista" list. Utah, won't be far behind them in the next decade or two I imagine.
